BAM – Galatians
Book of Galatians
Summarised in 1 Minute
Galatians 2:20 – I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
Galatians 5:1 – Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
Galatians centres on the conflict between grace and works in attaining salvation. In doing so, Paul writes about the Christian having faith in Jesus’ work on the cross as the only means of salvation, rather than being held as a slave to the Law. He defends the gospel of grace, explains it and then applies it to the Christian walk by saying it is the believer’s responsibility to serve one another.
